Chicago, the house, and the garden
22 12 2006I’ve spent the last 3 weeks in Chicago doing work for Neohapsis. As expected there is plenty of work to do and they threw me in feet first. I just finished my first "on my own" gig with a customer this morning. Every day has something else going on, which should fit my personality perfectly.
On the home front…..we’ve had several people/couples/families look at our house and all of them have had only nice things to say. Several had our house on the top of their list when they left our house, but for one reason or another they found another house. Stink! It’s only a mater of time that the perfect person/couple/family walks into our house and it’s a done deal. I’m going to miss that house. It really was perfect for us. Oh well….change is good.
And the garden…well obviously I don’t have one yet. But the MyChicagoGarden podcast is going well I think. After a couple false starts and recuts of episodes I think I have it stable. People have been sending in comments that I have a good "radio" voice, which I never knew. ahahahha. I still have to do a fair bit of sound editing to get my lip smacking and heavy breathing out of the final version but other then that I think it works.
Oh yeah…my wife came up for a few nights last weekend since I hadn’t seen her or the kids in 2 weeks. We had a wonderful time! No really…I mean fabulous. I don’t know about all the distance makes the heart grow founder stuff, but it worked for me.
Gotta run to the airport in an hour to fly home to see the wife, kids and relatives for the christmas holiday. Then back up to Chicago for some more time by myself. *sigh* Oh well…as my oldest girl told her grandfather a few days ago "I hope our house sells fast!" ![]()
