Back in late September we harvested our potatoes. I created a movie and sent it to Erik over at GardenFork.tv. After making it, I realized it wasn’t very educational so I doubt Erik will use it. Here’s the video from that effort. My wife (Melissa) is behind the camera, the crazy kid in the beginning is my oldest daughter Sierra and the younger daughter is Teagan.

I love Teagan’s face at the end when she is holding the potatoe…classic.
I enjoyed seeing the girls……Did you bake the potatoes or make french fries or what?
we did both
Do you get enough potatoes to make it worth the trouble? Or is this one of those things that we grown folks plant more for the benefit of kids and the cool factor?
Not really. Especially if you have to pay for the shipping. For example…if I buy 2.5 pound of potatoes from Moose Tubers it costs $16.50 ($10+ shipping). I doubt I’ll get $20 worth of potatoes out of that. I’ll add this to my diary notes for this year and see if I can track reasonable costs. I plan to purchase potatoes from a local source to cut the costs.
ok, i completely blanked on the video that i asked you to send. i have to apologize. i’ll work on that this week. thx, eric.
