Seeds of Change Garden

logo

It just so happens that the Seeds of Change catalog came today and it had every seed item I wanted. So this year I’m going with a 100% Seeds of Change garden.  Which also means all the seeds are 100% Organic stock. $72 dollars later. On the pricey side but the seed packets should be enough for 2010/2011 as well so I’ll only need to buy new garlic and potatoe….in theory.

See the current planting diary for the varieties chosen for this year.  I’m trying a few things different this year.  I’ll be growing a multi-color sweet corn, a different kind of slicing tomato and a head lettuce.

  • be interested in how the head lettuce works for you. i have always preferred cut and come again lettuces; they seem to be a more efficient use of space.

    ?

    thx, eric.

  • I completely agree! I grew looseleaf last year but we eat so few salads (not a good thing) I didn’t need it to come again. That and Melissa dislikes leaf lettuce and thus requested a head/crispy veriety and/or spinach.

  • In defense of myself…I didn’t say that I dislike leaf lettuce. I only said that I want something crisp to go with it.
