We had our traditional first day of spring on March 15. At our house we start spring on the first Sunday we can eat out at Scooby’s.
One week earlier the girls and I got our worm compost bin built and started. Now we are just waiting for the worms to arrive! Hopefully [...] Last wednesday (5/13) I took a day off from work and went storm chasing in south western Illinois just over the border into Missouri. That’s me near the driver side in the picture to the left. Drove nearly 1000 miles in 16 hours but we were able to get our eyeballs on what is [...] Yes yes..I broke one of my own rules and I’m once again attempting to start flowers from seeds. But at least these are considered companion plants to my vegetables. I never had much luck with flowers in the past, but I figured since I had some extra squares available in my APS system I might [...] |
