10:45am – Late start to the day. Nothing really expected today from a severe weather perspective in our area. We are heading south out of Des Moines towards Topeka. We will figure out which direction to head when we get there. Looks like the next few days will be “down days” for us.

2:30pm – Driving around in a rain storm. Wheee!!
4:00pm – Day is over. We are heading to Kansas City for dinner at Jess n’ Jims. But for now we are killing time at Applebee’s in St. Joseph, MO watching the Blackhawk’s hockey game. I’m trying to get the group in for a tour of the Storm Prediction Center Monday morning.

5:15pm – Black Hawks win in OT! Off to Jess ‘n Jims.
6:30pm – Jess ‘n Jims. Paul has his wall of fame plaque now. “CoD storm chasers every spring since 1991″.
9:00pm – Rick Smith from Norman NWS is going to hook us up on Monday. Woot! Shrimp cocktail, 5oz filet, glass of menage, apple pie \w icecream, glass of wild turkey with honey. Maybe I come on these trips for the food.
