2009 - Ozark Highlands Trail
After our failed backpacking trip in 2008, we are going to go for something less streneous and closer to home before we go after Mt. Lyell again.
The most recent copy of National Geographic (Nov 2008) has a great article on the Ozark Highlands Trail. We are making plans for a trip in early spring to check it out for a couple days. I’ll be keeping notes on the planning here.

| Day 2 | Drive to Shores Lake Campground, camp on east trail |
| Day 3 | Hike and camp on west trail |
| Day 4 | Hike out and drive to St Louis, MO (350 miles / 5 hours) |
| Day 5 | Drive home (300 miles / 4 hours) |
